Happy Mothers Day!
What a day...a BEAUTIFUL sentiment...to all the Mothers that are and will be!
It all started on Saturday night at our casa....Kai wrangled mama in playing Super Mario Brothers ....mama had to open an icy cold ORION to make the process less painful...my 7 year old schooling his mama in this video game...this mama who is a screamer...who is unsteady in what she is doing...who has to repeatedly ask her son...what to do to get out of harms way! Man....the days of ATARI and I was the queen of Pac Man....Tank...and Centipede......WOW...how times have changed...you should of heard the giggles and hoot and hollering in the Grubb's casa...then Daddy wanted to play with mama....and the difference of game strategy was abso-toot-ley sweet....Daddy actually would warn me of hidden danger..instead of squeal with delight like Kai when I got bumped...bopped...or thrown....and lil' Soph...was my cheerleader saying over and over...that she would always help mama! he he he
What a great night!
Then ...I put in my request....I said...I think mama wants to sleep in until 8:30 am.
So on Sunday morning...Kai and Sophia made me breakfast in bed (and let me and daddy sleep in until 9:20 am)....they made me toasted cinnamon raisin english muffins with butta' and honey....and you know I'm a share bear...so I shared with the bugs....then they dashed downstairs happy with themselves....and Kent and I gushed on what AWESOME babes we have....and we are lucky to have our mamas (and papas) who showed us the ropes...of implementing old school values....respect toward elders...treating your friends with love and compassion....having kindness for all walks of life...admitting when you are wrong...and share what you have with others...to pray when you are happy...sad...angry...and content...praying for all that you have...and all that GOD has given you...with no regrets to what you don't have...b/c it is not what you posses materialistically...but what you posses in your heart...which is LOVE and HAPPINESS!!
I want to teach the bugs that GIVING is so much more gratifying then recieving....to see the glow of appreciation on someone elses face is all the evidence they need to feel giddy and happy!
We went to church and had a WONDERFUL sermon and then indulged in a iced coffee @
Coffee CasaThen off to our casa...for an hour rest...then we wrangled up the Andrews...and went to Thai in the Sky for a wonderful THAI meal!
I felt like I was in Thailand for the whole 2 hours we were there....
All day.....I was pampered with polite manners...to sweet kisses and tender hugs....and an ocassional wink from daddy...I felt LOVED!
Thank you ...Kai..Soph...and Daddy...your mama is in LOVE with her sweet family!
