Deep Sea fishin'.....batter up boyz...

Fishing the East China Sea
Allen using a lightweight rod to land a Mahi. It wasn't easy, but had fun getting a couple on board.

Jim looking ahead to the next bouy. The fishermen anchor "floats" out on the water to attract the bait fish. Where there is bait fish there is Mahi. Where there is Mahi, there is 3 guys trying to catch them.

Jim and Allen as we leave the dock.

Mahi in the water. When we would bring one up to the surface, 5 others would follow it to see "what was up." It was amazing to see how many there were around .
Mahi "bull".

Dude fishing off the cliffs by Hedo point. I have no idea what they do if they catch something big.

Caves right on the water. It was amazing how close we were to the shore. I had no idea schools of Mahi and Wahoo came in so close.

A small light house on Okinawa's coast. The color of the water was perfect.

Mahi, 2 Wahoo, and a Bonito. A nice day's work (play).

Kento with the bull Mahi...20/22/24 lbs.....something like that. I can't really remember. It was big and it was fun.

Do I look better in black and white? Happy birthday Allen and great idea for the party. Weather was about perfect. Water was about perfect. Fishing was about perfect. Going out fishing with friends.....definitely perfect.

Congrats on such a successful fishing trip. It's nice to see other people really catch fish. Bird makes fun of me because I watch an occasional fishing show. He doesn't get the fact that I can't catch fish myself no matter how hard I try. What do I catch? Frogs, boots, tiny fish you have to throw back. That looks like a blast.
